Faculty of Science

The Faculty of Science is an institute featuring basic science education with a 50-year teaching history, known as a branch of the Basic Course Teaching Section of Xi'an University of Technology before 1994. This faculty has been actively engaged in disciplines construction and basic theory research and teaching. It is recognized for its academic achievements in the following domains: physical electronics, theoretical and applied mechanics, applied chemistry and computerizing mathematics. The Faculty of Science is involved in several key projects including 2 projects of international cooperation funded by the National Natural Science Fund of China, and other important research projects funded by Natural Science Fund and Key Technologies R&D Program of Shaanxi Province.

The Faculty of Science consists of 5 departments，2 research bases,1 research center and 4 laboratories. This faculty offers 18 programs for master's degree, 5 programs for bachelor's degree.

In this faculty there are 19 professors, 35 associate professors, 182 postgraduates, and 785 undergraduates.
